Holy crap have a lot of celebrities died this year. The 2009 Oscars obituary montage is going to take forever.

Laugh out Loud. You are freakin' hilarious Jewpoo. Your rants and missives are a joy to ingest. By the way - two questions. What is your favourite John Hughes' movies? Mine is Planes, Trains and Automobiles - narrowly beating out Ferris Beuller'S Day Off. My second question - is what Blue Jay would you most want the autograph? Out in the TD courtyard right now - there is a HUGE line-up for ex-Blue Jay autographs - and there are no Blue Jays yet! I mean there must be 200 people in line and it's 11am!! I don't think they Jays come until noon. I would wait in line for Kelly Gruber's autograph. You know what would be great - is if you had a photo of a dude waterskiing and you superimposed Kelly's face on it. That would be the best.

Kelly Gruber is in town as part of the Back 2 Back celebrations this weekend. Also saw photos of Tom Henke and Todd Stottlemyre....Roberto Alomar was at the Yankess game in the front row naked the other night.

I have a hard time deciding between Breakfast Club, Uncle Buck and Ferris Bueller's Day off but I think I would go with Breakfast Club.

Planes Trains and Automobiles first, then Planes Trains and Automobiles second, fifth and tenth. On the title alone, that movie kicks ass. Uncle Buck is the sleeper and Ferris Bueller the obvious but worthy choice. Fuck Sixteen Candles - chick flick horseshit.

Regarding Blue Jays John Hancock's, apparently Robbie Alomar is on crack and all fucked up , so I'd like to see him up close. But my favorite Jay has to be either Heathcliff Johnson for his timely grand slams, Ernie Whitt for hitting bombs from one knee, Dave Steib for pretending to be Tom Selleck, Tom Henke for pretending to be a kleenex, Dwane Ward for his snake tattoo, Garth Iorg for being whiter than salt, Jesse Barfield so I cold apologize for all the things my Dad yelled at him, Tony Fernandez for not having any bones in his body, Fred McGriff for being from Florida, or last, but definitely first, Jorge Bell for being so completely certain he'd always be the best ballplayer in the world.

I mentioned this thread to Roxy last night and she started quoting Planes, Trains and Automobiles like it was her J.O.B. She watched it hundreds of times when she was younger. I thought she would go for the sappy/chick flicks like 16 Candles etc. but nope she hates those ones. She also mentioned that he wrote National Lampoon's Vacation although he did not direct which I think we can all agree is another classic.
